  • Modern Banking Systems enters partnership to utilize FTNI Etran Platform

OMAHA, NE, March 09, 2010 – Modern Banking Systems (MBS), a leading provider of in-house data processing solutions for community banks, and Management Communication Services, Inc. (MCSIT), authorized reseller of Financial Transmission Network, Inc. (FTNI), today announced their strategic partnership to deliver a full spectrum of payment solutions, utilizing FTNI’s single payment platform to financial institutions’ merchants through FTNI’s ETran platform. The partnership provides banks, financial institutions and credit unions the ability to offer a turn-key, single platform ePayment solution to merchants in a wide variety of vertical markets. Since the ETran solution is delivered as a Software as a Service (SaaS) deployment, it virtually eliminates the hardware and software costs associated with traditional solutions. FTNI has completed testing with MBS to provide integrated data to the MBS core banking solution.

"Our strategic partnership with MCSIT and FTNI enables us to extend our comprehensive solution offerings across branch, commercial remote deposit and even mass market remote deposit deployments,'' according to Robert Neville, President of Modern Banking Systems. Neville goes on to say "We believe FTNI’s single payment platform, offered as a SaaS, represents a compelling option for financial institutions. Consolidating all non-cash payments onto a single platform offers our banks’ merchants operational savings that can go straight to their bottom line. Together our companies have the breadth of offerings, depth of payments expertise and scale to provide turn-key solutions to MBS banks and their merchant customers. Increasing the efficiency of payments is one of the highest priorities for financial institutions today, and we are committed to continually improving this process.'' Integrating FTNI’s software offerings with MBS's core product suite ensures the delivery of highly reliable payment solutions that improve overall productivity, streamline operations and reduce payment processing costs for merchants.

FTNI’s ETran platform incorporates check scanning, ACH processing, credit card processing and ID verification on a single, SaaS managed platform to help clients reduce costs, accelerate timelines and improve transaction processing quality. In addition, the company’s software enables customers to setup recurring payments (ACH & credit card), message between users and provide custom integration into back offices systems.

"We have a strong commitment to offering the latest technology in the payments industry while also providing value to the merchants,'' said Kurt Matis, President of FTNI. "Our state-of-the-art platform combined with our implementation and support experience will provide easy integration for MBS clients, allowing them to enhance their customer relationships and improve efficiencies.”
