Paperless Transaction Corporation to Extend ePayment Offering | FTNI

Written by FTNI Admin | February 22, 2011

Omaha, NE February 21, 2011 – Paperless Transaction Corporation (PTC) has been serving the merchant and non-profit community for over a decade. While offering first rate credit card and Automated Clearing House (ACH) processing had allowed them to grow its customer base to over 10,000, PTC management realized that there was another popular electronic payment option that they didn’t offer. That option was Remote Deposit Capture or the option to allow their customers to accept checks but to convert the paper checks to check images and electronically deposit them into their bank.

Check acceptance continues to be a popular payment option, particularly for non-profit organizations, where PTC is a well known payment processor. As their search for the best solution began, PTC was focused on several key requirements. Ease of implementation, flexibility of the solution and an easy to operate user interface were at the top of the list. PTC quickly discovered two things. First, there were several options available. Second, there was one solution that clearly out-performed its competitors. That solution was ETran, the award winning ePayment platform from FTNI.

PTC found that ETran exceeded its expectations in several key areas. First, it was offered in a Software as a Solution (SaaS) model, which meant PTC customers would have no software to maintain on their desktops. Second, the solution was bank agnostic, meaning that each customer would be free to maintain their own banking relationship. Finally, the flexibility of the solution, which includes individual user credentialing, remittance stub scanning and MICR repair clearly met the varying needs of the PTC customer base.

“In our experience, the quality of the ETran solution is surpassed, only by the flexibility and support of the FTNI team. We are consistently amazed at their ability to take a payment or remittance problem and provide both a prompt and elegant solution”, said Micah Hobart, PTC’s COO. “We’re more certain than ever that we made the right decision in choosing both ETran and the FTNI team, to help us expand the ePayment services we provide to our customers.”

Kurt M. Matis, President of FTNI added, “While our ETran solution has been accepted in a variety of market verticals, it seems to be uniquely suited for the needs of the nonprofit community. In some cases, those needs focus on check imaging and clearing, while others may involve credit card acceptance, ACH initiation or web payments. In each case, it’s rewarding to be able to address the varying needs, both promptly and thoroughly. We’re excited about our partnership with PTC, a leader in servicing the non-profit industry.”
